Napier Luzerne Dills

Napier Luzerne Dills, 91, of Moneta, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Bedford County Nursing Home. He was born in Franklinville, NY, on November 21, 1923, son of the late Jay Henry Dills and Ruby Elizabeth Napier Dills. In addition to his parents, Napier was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Stover Dills.
Napier was a member of Trinity Ecumenical Parish in Moneta, VA. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII and was retired from the Alma Desk Company in High Point, NC. He was a member of Smith Mountain Lake (SML) Marine Fire Boat 11-7, and served on the SML navigation committee.
Napier is survived by his three children, James Alexander Dills and his wife, Karen, Mary Elizabeth Dills and John Stover Dills and his wife, Heidi; five grandchildren, Amanda, Nicole, Jay, Katie and Ben; also seven great-grandchildren, Anna, Addison, Paige, Jax, Khloe, Mason and Max.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Napier’s name to, Trinity Ecumenical Parish, 40 Lakemount Dr., Moneta, VA 24121.
A celebration of his life will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Trinity Ecumenical Parish with Philip Booknight officiating.
