Neal Roger Furgurson

Neal Roger Furgurson, 60, passed away on Sunday, May 01, 2022 at his home in Bedford Va.
Born in Richmond Va, Neal was the son of the late Roger and Beulah Furgurson of Williamsburg Va. Neal lived his entire life in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Neal is survived by an ex-wife Kristin Luck, a son Jacob Furgurson of New Kent Va, brother Mark Furgurson of Montvale Va and sister Ann Furgurson of Montrose Co.
Neal lived a varied and colorful life, including musical interests in Colonial Williamsburg Fife & Drums, trombone in school bands, and electric bass in many Richmond underground band throughout the 1980s & 1990s. While his “straight” job was IT programming and helpdesk services, he was well known in later years for his on-line following of political, comical and horror movie followers. He also had many passions including animals, the environment, Tibet and the Mattaponi River program.
A small graveside service will be held at Greenwood-Longwood Cemetery in Bedford on Tuesday May 10 at 2 o’clock.
In lieu of flowers, the family had requested that donations be considered for a favorite charity of Neal, St Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, is assisting the family.
