Nellie Flood Harris
Nellie Flood Harris, 92, of Lynchburg, died on Sunday, October 27, 2013. She was the wife of James W. \"Red\" Harris for sixty-six years. She was born in Tye River, VA on September 17, 1921, a daughter of the late Thomas Flood and the late Verna Metts Flood.
In addition to her husband, Nellie is survived by one daughter, Rev. Tracey Robinson-Harris of Ashby, MA.
Nellie was predeceased by one brother, Raymond Flood and one sister, Tommy F. Francis.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, with Rev. Paul Boothby officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one-half hour prior to the funeral service.
Memorial contribution may be made to Seven Hills Hospice, 2250 Murrell Road, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
