Nellie Justine Jarels
Nellie Justine Jarels, 79, of Thaxton, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012. Born December 4, 1932 in Norcross, VA, she was a daughter of the late Leslie William and Alice Fields Green.
In addition to her parents, Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Jarels; two daughters, Linda Jarels and Sandra Jarels Overstreet; seven brothers; and five sisters. She is survived by her four sons; Mike Jarels and his wife, Sandy of Forest, Danny Jarels and his wife, Karen of Vermont, Bobby Jarels of Bedford and Rodney Jarels and his wife, Vicki of Bedford; a daughter, Barbara Coronado and her husband, Tony of Roanoke; thirteen grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ann Breeden of Giles; and two brothers, Vivian \"Buck\" Green of Narrows and Leslie Green of Montgomery.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106A, Roanoke, VA 24018.
A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Dr. Robert Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Timber Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford, Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 6:00 \"" 8:00 pm.
