Nellie Ann Firetto Riggs

Nellie Ann Firetto Riggs, 84, of Lynchburg passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023. She was born in Birmingham, AL on March 6, 1939. A daughter of the late Joseph Firetto and Carmel Mitchelli Firetto. In addition to her parents Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, John Virgil Riggs, Jr, and two siblings, Leanora Fox and Jackie Firetto.

Nellie had a wonderful sense of humor and was a very generous and loving woman. She also enjoyed helping others in a time of need and spending time with her family and friends. She was loved by so many and will be missed by all that knew her.

Nellie is survived by her four children, Dawn R. Randolph, Alisa A. Riggs, Kimberly R. Allen (Robert) and John Virgl Riggs III (Brenda); five grandchildren, Kelly Steen (Andrew), Robert J. Allen (Melanie), Megan Randolph, Ava Riggs and Konrad Riggs; six great-grandchildren, Audrey, Everlea, Riggs, Leo, Ezra and Levi; two siblings, Pauline Vines and Mary Jane Turner (Terry). Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
