Nikita “Niki” Dawn Bell Frederick, 62, of Thaxton, VA passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020. She was born on January 7, 1958 in Boone, WV. A daughter of Lenore Justice Bell and the late Rod L. Bell, Sr.
Niki was a creative, generous, giving, and strong-willed person. She was a loving single mother who worked tirelessly to provide for her family. An educator, first in Sunday school and then in preschool, she loved children. As a florist for many years, she brought beauty into the world. And as a steadfast friend she shared her inner beauty with those she loved.
In addition to her mother, Niki is survived by her son, John W. Frederick and his wife, Amanda; and two brothers, Timothy Paul Bell and his wife, Kimberly and Rod L. Bell, Jr. and his wife, Shari. Also surviving are numerous other family and many friends.

A funeral service and celebration of Niki’s life will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Tharp Funeral Chapel in Bedford, VA. The burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
