Nina Faulkner Knight Wood

Nina Faulkner Knight Wood, 96, of Lynchburg, died on Saturday, October 30, 2010. Nina was born on June 1, 1914 in Lynchburg a daughter of the late Marian Clark Faulkner and the late John A. Faulkner. She was first married to the late William Scott Knight, Sr. and after his death was married to the late Rossie Wood.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherwood Knight Harris and her husband, Tommy of Lynchburg; her son, William Scott \"Boogie\" Knight, Jr. and his wife, Kris of KY; her grandchildren, Deborah Ann Olsen, Steven Faulkner Moyer, Camm Knight, Toni Utoft, Charles T. Lee, Jr. and Virginia Lee; her nieces, Rosalie Loving Short and Marianne Loving Rhodes; and a nephew, Lunsford L. \"Tad\" Loving.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by a daughter, Tucker Knight Lee and her sisters, Rosalie Loving and Nancy Faulkner.

Nina was a member of St. Paul\"™s Episcopal Church and worked for over twenty-five years at the Farm Basket where she was Perkins Flippin\"™s \"right-hand-man\".

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at St. Paul\"™s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Todd M. Vie officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Nina\"™s memory may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 605 Clay Street, Lynchburg, VA, 24504; or Gentle Shepherd Hospice Charities, 6045 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, VA, 24019.
