Nora Cooper

Nora Thompson Cooper, 90, of Huddleston, died   Friday, September 9, 2016, at Runk & Pratt in Moneta. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Lavern Cooper.

Born on December 6, 1925 in Goodwater, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Azell           Thompson and Wilma Ward Thompson.  Nora is also preceded in death by two brothers: Calvin Dawson Thompson, Jack Thompson; and sister: Agnes Ashworth.

Nora is survived by two sons: Michael Douglas Cooper, and Richard Alan Cooper and his wife, Cindy; brother: Robert Thompson; sisters: Mildred West and Betty Alumbaugh; grandchildren: Zoe Cooper, Jaime Cooper Thoms and husband, Brandon; and Jessie Cooper.

Funeral service will be held   Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Staunton Baptist Church with Rev. Grant Harbridge officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
