Norma Nestor Ross, 76, of Monroe passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at 02:00am. She was the loving wife of Art H. Ross for over 56 years.

Born in Freeport, Long Island, New York on June 5, 1945, Norma was the daughter of Joseph Leo Nestor and Miriam Werner Nestor. She traveled the world as both the daughter of a career Navy father and the wife of an Army MSG of 26 years. Her love of adventure and travel continued after she and Art retired from the Army. They spent many years RV’ing around the country discovering new places to explore and sights to see, always centering their trips around visiting much loved family and friends.

Norma’s spark of life brought joy to everyone she met. She readily adopted new family members and gave everything of herself to those around her. To know her was to love her. She was a loving, faithful wife, mother, sister and friend.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Carol Ross Holden (Randy), Rennell Brillhart (Steve), Deirdre Crescioni (Charles), and Steve Nestor Jr., (son of Brother Steve SR), (Kat). Her siblings: Bud Nestor, Mike Nestor (Eva Dailey), Kathy Olsen, and Charlie Nestor (Jane). Her grandchildren: Hunter and Myranda Holden, Sam and Alex Brillhart, Serena, Charles III, Adam, and Gabby Crescioni, Stella, Stephen III, (Tank) and Alex Nestor. Nieces and nephews: Joe III, Amy, Matt, Mike Jr., Julie, Nick and Justin. Honorary family members Rusty and Becky Richeson.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by Brother Stephen A. Nestor, Sr.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2022, at Tharp Funeral Home Madison Heights.

A Memorial Service for Norma will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, February 11 at Tharp Funeral Chapel in Madison Heights, with Chaplain Will Strong, Jr. officiating. Inurnment will be held at Briarwood Memorial Gardens at a later date.

Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Madison Heights, is assisting the family.
