Norma Sharp Schlintz

Norma Irene Sharp Schlintz, 90, of Bedford, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013, at her home. Born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on September 14, 1922, daughter of the late James Franklin Sharp, Sr. and Anna Peterson Sharp. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Edward Schlintz, Sr; two brothers, James Sharp and Thomas Sharp.

Norma was an avid reader. She enjoyed sailing, playing bridge and working crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Bedford Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her four sons, John Edward Schlintz, Jr. of Ft. Myers, FL, Gary Robert Schlintz of Ft. Myers, FL, David Norman Schlintz and his wife, Robin, of Homestead, FL, and Thomas Harvey Schlintz Gordon and his wife, Alicia, of Cary, NC; one daughter, Susanna Schlintz of Orlando, FL; five grandsons, one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter, and two sisters-in-law, Doris Sharp and Betty Sharp; also numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bedford Life Saving Crew, P.O. Box 161, Bedford, VA 24523.
