Norman “Squid” Snead Throckmorton, 63, of Lynchburg, died Sunday, May 17, 2015. He was the husband of the late Gail Blair Throckmorton.
Squid was born November 15, 1951, in Halifax County, Virginia, a son of Althea Snead Throckmorton of Calera, Ala. and the late Earl Norman Throckmorton.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Danny L. Throckmorton of Calera, Ala.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Tharp Funeral Home in Lynchburg. A Celebration of Squid’s Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015, in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Dennis Hollandsworth officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
