O., Maryanna (Polly) Henderson, 98, of Bedford, Va. died December 13, 2015 at Oakwood Health and Rehabilitation Center, Bedford Memorial Hospital, Bedford, Va.
Born November 28, 1917 in Albemarle County, Va., the daughter of the late Hatcher and Mary Linkous, she married Robyn H. Henderson on December 31, 1938.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robyn, in 1999; three brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by one sister, Ethelyn (Robert) Moritz, of Ohio; her daughter, Robinette Fitzsimmons of Portland, Oregon; her son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Bev Henderson, of Bedford; plus three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A private interment service will be conducted at St. John’s Episcopal Church Columbarium, Bedford, at a later date. There will be no visitation or church service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to St. John’s Episcopal Church, 314 North Bridge St., Bedford or the Bedford Community Health Foundation Commemorative Gift Fund, P.O. Box 1104, Bedford, 24523.
