The Lord in His infinite mercy called Sister Ocie Cabell home to rest on Thursday, August 19, 2021. She was the daughter of the late John and Laura Hendrix.
She joined the Piney Hill Baptist Church at an early age. She later joined the Bolling Hill Baptist Church after marriage. She was married to the late Deacon Robert A. Cabell, Sr. and to their union were 5 children, the late Reverend Robert Cabell, Jr., Margie Miles (Cisco), Phyllis Jenkins (Terry), Athel Matthews (Don), Lavern Cabell, and adopted daughter Augustine Chilton.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, 6 sisters-in-law, and 3 brothers-in-law.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, son, 4 brothers, and 4 sisters.
She was very active in her church; she was the Usher Ministry, Food Ministry, Senior Choir, Deaconess, Women’s Ministry, Pastor Aide, and worked well with all.
