Odessa Minnick Falls

Odessa Minnick Falls, 88, of Lynchburg passed away Monday, November 10, 2014. She was the loving wife of the late Floyd Shirly Falls for 57 years.
Odessa was born in Bedford County June 23, 1926; a daughter of the late Wyatt W. and Pearl Burks Minnick. She is survived by her son, Roger N. Falls and wife, Yvonne of Madison Heights; a daughter, Elizabeth F. Harris and husband, Rayburn, of Staunton; one grandson, Rayburn E. Harris, Jr.; and two great-grandchildren; a brother, Landon W. Minnick of Bedford; a sister, Bernice M. Reynolds and husband, John of Bedford; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Eunice M. Eubank; and four brothers, George Ed, Garland, Albert, and Carlton Minnick.
She was a caring friend and housewife, a member of Fairview Christian Church, and a member of the Women’s Sunshine Bible Class.
Funeral services will be held at Tharp Funeral Chapel, Lynchburg, Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 6:00 pm with visitation following. A Graveside service will be held the following day, Friday, November 14, 2014 at 11:00 am in Virginia Memorial Park.
