Olaf Olev Kivistik, 87, died Monday, July 27, 2015 at Westminster Canterbury Retirement Community.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Kivistik. He is survived by his two sons, Michael and Andrew by previous marriage, daughter-in-law Julia and by special friend Margot Frank.
Olaf was born in Estonia and went to Canada in 1947 as a war refugee. He graduated from University of Toronto with an engineering degree. After working Canadian government he moved to Virginia in 1962 to work for General Electric. He retired in 1990.
In accordance with the wishes of the deceased, expressed often during his lifetime, no memorial service will be held.
The family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the Fellowship Fund of Westminster Canterbury.
Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
