Mrs. Olivia Calloway Williams, 94, of Lynchburg, died on February 26, 2018. She was born on July 17, 1923, a daughter of the late John and Mary Calloway.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Adolphus Williams; her son, Alfred Williams; her brothers, George “Pete”, Marcus “Hump”, Lloyd “Ed”, James “Jim”, and Malcolm “Mack” Calloway.
Olivia is survived by her loving son, Kenneth Williams (Debra); a sister, Virginia C. Johnson; a granddaughter, Rena Wright (Marcus); a grandson, Brian Mickles (Michelle); her great-grandchildren, Markel and Marquise Woodruff, and Justice Wright; her sisters-in-law, Odessa and Maxine Calloway; a devoted friend, William “Esaw” Clark; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Olivia loved traveling, having dinners, entertaining, and she loved people. Her favorite transportation was the GLTC to the mall. Olivia was faithful member of the Antioch Baptist Church Coleman Falls.
A celebration of Olivia’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, with the Rev. Dr. Carl B. Hutcherson, Jr. officiating. Her remains will lie in repose one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Coleman Falls. The cortege will assemble at the funeral home.
