Ollie Markham Watson

Ollie Markham Watson, 95, of Bedford, died Monday, January 9, 2012. Born April 29, 1916; she was a daughter of the late Charlie Walter Markham and Blanche Overstreet Markham.

Ollie retired as a supervisor from Hampton Looms with over 30 years of service. She was a member of Bedford Baptist Church for over 87 years and she taught Sunday school there for over 35 years.

Ollie was preceded in death by her husband Henry Earl Watson. She is survived by two daughters; Doris Torrence (Doug) of Colesville, MD and Nancy Wingfield of Bedford; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary Markham of Bedford; a nephew, C.W. Markham of Bedford; and a niece, Lorine Tyler of Roanoke.

A Graveside service will be conducted 11 AM, Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Dr. David L. Henderson officiating.
