Opal Mae Coleman Roach, 69, of Lynchburg went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the loving wife of Roland for 49 years.
Opal was born February 6, 1941 in Appomattox. She was the daughter of the late Taylor and Lois Coleman. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, Opal is survived by her two daughters, Gina Roach Williams of Rustburg and Michele Roach Bland and her husband, Robert of West Point; six grandchildren, Stormie, Robert, Emilie and Aimie Williams, and Kathryn and Sarah Bland; two great-grandchildren, Paiton King and Kamdyn Carwile; her brother, Charles Coleman and his wife, Theresa of Stockton, CA; her aunt, Beulah Martin and two special cousins, Brenda Young and Becky Ashwell.
A celebration of Opal\"™s life will be held Sunday, May 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Louis Beckwith and Dr. Robert Putt officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church\"™s fellowship hall.
