Pam died on Wed., March 13 at Hospice of the Hills in Lynchburg, Va. following a brave battle with cancer. She was born on Aug. 3, l950 in Southport, England and came to Charlottesville at the age of 8. She was a graduate of Lane High School, class of \"˜69. Pam worked in Medical Records at Uva. Hospital and then as a drug and alcohol rehab counselor in Charlottesville and most recently in Lynchburg. She holds a special place in the hearts of her coworkers and those whom she helped to overcome their addictions.
She was predeceased by her parents, George and Eileen Brindley. Pam leaves behind her brother Bob and his wife Ilse, her nieces Nicole and Daniela and husband Oliver and their daughters Lara and Finja, all of Germany. She is also survived by two sisters, Marion and Beryl of England and their families, and many cousins in both Europe and America, as well as her beloved pets.
Pam wished us to say good-bye and God bless to her special friends who lovingly supported her and to the caring staff of Hospice of the Hills about whom Pam said, \"I couldn\"™t be in better hands.\" The family joins in expressing our gratitude and special thanks as well.
There will be a gathering of friends and family to remember Pam at the Awareness Garden on Langhorne Road in Lynchburg at a later date.
