Patricia Evans Carter

Patricia Evans Carter, 73, of Rustburg, died February 5, 2019. She was the wife of the late Bruce Carter for 58 years. She was born on March 3, 1945, a daughter of the late Henry and Hattie Martin Evans. Also preceding her in death were her brother, George W. Evans and sister, Gertrude Tolley.

She is survived by her children, Alan Carter of Rustburg, Jay Carter and wife Dorothy of Lynchburg, Teresa Carter of Lynchburg and Hannah Hamlette of Rustburg; a brother, Pastor Bill Evans and wife Judy of Lynchburg; five grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

She was employed as a caregiver, and was a member of Amazing Grace Ministries.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00pm. on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at other times at the home.
