Patricia Dearing Johnson, 72, of Lynchburg died Monday, December 11, 2017 she was the wife of Henry O. Johnson for 43 years.
Patricia was born June 11, 1945 in West Palm Beach, FL, a daughter of the late William A. Dearing and Mary McFadden Dearing. She was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter Melissa Petcher (Eric) of Rustburg, two sons; Preston Hudson (Rachel) of Forest, and Bill Hudson (Brenda) of Madison Heights, two sisters; Sharon Cyrus of Las Vegas, NV, and Paula Jackson of Pigeon Forge, TN, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and Dennis Dearing.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg.
A Celebration of Patricia’s Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 15, 2017 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with Chaplain Wayne Lanham officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
