Paul Clair Vanderslice went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. He was at home holding hands with his loving wife “Easia” whom he adored.
Born February 26, 1933, Paul was the son of the late Paul St. Clair and Vaun Vanderslice of Beaver, PA. He is survived by his wife; his three sons, Gordon, Jeffrey, David, and one daughter, Paula; five grandchildren and three stepchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Tom (Jean) of Schwickley, PA, one sister Margie Gilchrist of West Chester, PA. Also surviving to cherish his memories are sister-in-law, Geri Nichols (Nick); Brenda Ponton (Al), as well as friends and other family members.
Paul was honorably discharged from the US Air Force after serving over 20 years. Upon retiring from the Air Force he started a new career and retired as a Compliance Officer with “OSHA” (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
The family wishes to thank Centra Hospice of Lynchburg, for the special care given Paul. They would also like to thank his nurse Courtney for the love and care that she gave Paul.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on February 16, 2019 at Jordan Baptist Church with Pastor Melvin Campbell officiating.
Paul was a member of Jordan Baptist Church. He loved his pastor, Melvin Campbell, and all of his church family.
