Paul Dillard Trent

Paul Dillard Trent, 86, of Lynchburg, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Thursday afternoon, September 20, 2018. He was the loving husband of Betty Holt Trent for 58 years.
Born on December 7, 1931 in Charlotte County, he was the son of the late Paul A. and Ida St. John Trent.
He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Trent and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Trent, a brother, Murray, sisters, Effie T. Ayers, Josie T. Ramsey, Mildred T. Wojtacha and Dorothy T. Becker.
He was employed by Montague Betts Co. and later by Babcock & Wilcox, N.N.F.D. as a certified welder.
Paul was a member of Heritage Baptist Church where he served as an usher and enjoyed cleaning the sanctuary for the Sunday evening service for many years.
Funeral services will be held at Heritage Baptist Church, 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2018 with Dr. F. Gerald Kroll officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Baptist Church, 219 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
