Paul “Ponytail” Carter
Paul \"Ponytail\" Albert Carter, 56, of Thaxton, died Thursday, February 9, 2012 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born September 15, 1955; he was a son of the late Ira Burton Carter and Nellie Katherine Nester Carter.
He is survived by his wife; Teresa Mullins Carter, his son; Justin Carter, of Bedford, his grandson and light of his life; Jaidon, a step-son, Jonathan Meador of Roanoke, brothers; Calvin Carter and wife, Linda, Marvin Carter and wife, Patricia, all of Thaxton, sisters; Mary Wilson and husband, Roger of Moneta, Nellie Whorley and husband, Bo, Rachel Bresett and husband Tom, all of Thaxton; mother and father-in-law, Linda Coakley and husband, Ron of Troutville; and nieces, Courtney and Katelyn Bresett, and Kayley Carter, all of Thaxton.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 12, 2012, 2:00 to 4:00 PM, at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford. Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, 586-3443.
