Paul Vincent Truland

Paul Vincent Truland, 90, of Lynchburg peacefully passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015. A native of South Portland Maine, he was the son of the late Vincent Forest Truland and Anna Hunacek Truland.
Paul worked at the Maine State Pier, where he was a Night Watchman for many years. He moved to Lynchburg four years ago to be closer to his sister Mildred T. Dexter.
Paul was preceded in death by three siblings, James Forest Truland, William “Bill” Truland, and Virginia Truland Pelletier; a niece, Carol Behling; and a nephew, Forest V. Truland.
Paul is survived by his sister, Mildred Truland Dexter; nieces, Virginia “GeeGee” Nelson (Thomas), Kathleen Kosier (Stephen), Donna Prypin (Bohdan), Patricia L’Etoile (Gene), Bonnie Jean Galloway, Mildred Pelletier; and nephews, Kevin Michael Truland (Myrna), Albert Pelletier (Christine), Paul Pelletier, and Dale Truland. Paul is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
