Pauline Davis Glass, resident of Lynchburg, VA, went home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2017, surrounded by her children. She passed at her home at the age of 87 years.
Pauline was born March 22, 1929, to Lillie and Phillip Doss. Her mother died during childbirth. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, Lelia and Tom Rice of Gladys, VA. She was the youngest of 12 children. She was also a member of Hyland Heights Baptist Church, was active with the Young at Heart Senior Citizens and the Joy Sunday School class.
She is survived by her children: Robert and Linda Davis, Paulette Davis Jennings, Paul and Mary Davis, Bennie and Sharon Davis; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Her sister, Cleve Travis also survives her.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg.
A Celebration of Pauline’s Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2017 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with Rev. Carl Weiser officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
