Pauline Evelyn “Polly” Magoon Korpanty, 78, of Bedford passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Cardinal Senior Living. She was born on November 7, 1944, in New Hampshire. A daughter of the late Earl Elijah Magoon and Dorothy Lovella Eastman Magoon. In addition to her parents Polly was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Paul Korpanty; her sister, Margaret Elizabeth Patch; two brothers, Harold, and Clifford Magoon and her daughter-in-law, Amanda Korpanty.
Polly was a member of Longwood Avenue Baptist Church. She worked for the federal govt for just shy of 40 years before retirement. Polly also volunteered for many years at the National D-Day Memorial. She loved spending time at her church and with her family and church family. She also enjoyed playing scrabble, reading, and baking for her family, friends and neighbors. Locally she was known as the “cookie lady”. Polly was loved by so many and will be missed dearly.
Polly is survived by her two sons, Daniel Lee Korpanty and Warren Tyrone Korpanty: her brother, James Lee “Jim” Magoon. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A funeral service and celebration of Polly’s life will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Tharp Funeral Chapel in Bedford with Pastor Ross Gilfillen officiating.
