Pauline Joanne Vaughan, 81, of Lynchburg, died Sunday, March 25, 2018. She was the devoted wife of the late Daniel Vaughan, a loving mother to her four boys, and caregiver to her sister-in-law Mary Ellen Vaughan.
Born on August 14, 1936, in Edinburg, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Mary Veppert. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son Steven M. Vaughan.
She is survived by her children, Daniel E. Vaughan, Phillip J. Vaughan (Beverly) , and Robert B. Vaughan ( Teresa); five grandchildren, Kevin Dalton, Melissa Slayton (Ryan), Kelly Rae Ashley (John), Ryan Austin Vaughan and Robert Adam Vaughan; two great-grandsons, Noah Dalton and Cayden Slayton; and special close friends Mickey and Cindy Pollard.
A funeral mass for Pauline will be conducted at 12 noon, on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Monsignor Michael D. McCarron officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial contribution be made to Harmony Rescue, Inc. 5292 Browns Mill Rd. Rustburg, Va. 24588 or Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, 1400 Edley Place, Lynchburg, Va. 24502
