Pearl Arlene Shields

December 4, 1935 — June 14, 2015

Pearl Ault Shields went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday morning June 14th, 2015. She was born in Parkersburg, W. Va., December 4, 1935, a daughter of Israel and Nola Ault.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Elbert Ault and Robert Ault; and three sisters, Kathleen McCartney, Lois Riley, and Phyllis Buonlamperti.

Pearl is survived by her husband, Walter Ray Shields; her daughter, Cyndie Tucker and her husband, Jim; her son, Wally Shields and his wife, Wendy; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and two sisters, Wanda Eagle and Patsy Mount.

At a young age, Pearl accepted God’s free gift of Eternal Life by placing her faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of God’s only Son, Jesus Christ. She invested her life into faithfully serving her Lord, and she contagiously shared the joy of the Lord with everyone. Pearl was actively involved in Young at Heart, the senior adult ministry of Heritage Baptist Church. Her love for others and her steadfast example were motivated by her faith in the Lord as she encouraged and touched the lives of all who knew her. Pearl also loved her family and her country. She proudly stood up for America by organizing “God and Country” rallies, where she called on others to remember our Godly heritage and to be involved in preserving our freedoms for the generations to come.
