Peggy Cook Moses, 73, of Lynchburg, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018. She was the loving wife of Harry “Dickie” Moses for 42 years.
Born on November 3, 1944, in Rhodell, W.Va., Peggy was a daughter of the late Walter Cook and the late Sally Ellis Cook.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Dickie Ann Yancey, Wanda “Pid” Yancey, and Thelma Sperlich.
Along with her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Angie Moses-Hackney (Brian) of Lynchburg and Wendy Moses of Lynchburg; a son, Steven Edward Moses of Richmond, Va.; a daughter at heart, Jessica Dotson; two grandchildren, Barrett Moses and Cole Hackney; a step-daughter, Belinda Martin of Piney River, Va.; a step-son, Bud Moses of Altavista; two sisters, Lois Connelly of Madison Heights and Glenda Eades (Monroe) of Nimitz, W.Va.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 17, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home and Crematory, Madison Heights.
