Perscilla Louise Carter Elliott

Perscilla Louise Carter “Mawmaw” Elliott, 68, of Lynchburg, VA, died Thursday, February 04, 2021.  She was the wife of Thomas Marvin Elliott Jr., for 42 years

Born Wednesday, April 02, 1952 in Lynchburg, Perscilla was a daughter of the late Erskin Thomas Carter and the late Ruby Louise Johnson Carter.

In addition to her husband, Perscilla is survived by her loving children, daughter Stephanie Harrison (husband Terry), Timothy Elliott (fiancé’ Cynthia), Thomas “LT” Elliott (wife Dawn), and Jodie James, (husband Frank), Sisters, Carolyn Crews, Francis Martin (husband Randy), and Erskin Thomas Carter (wife Kathy). 7 grandchildren Tabitha, Tyler, Madison, Shaun, Hayley, Sophie, and Carter “Monkey”.  5 great grandchildren, Parker, Asher, Kyler, Adalynn “Peaches”, and Xander.  Best friend Shirley.

In addition to her parents, Perscilla was preceded in death by her sister Susan Witt, brother in-law Robert Crews, and brother in-law Bill Witt.

Perscilla was an exceptional wife, mother, mother in law, Mawmaw, sister, and friend. She was always willing to help someone, family, friend, or stranger.  Her greatest accomplishments were her children, whom she always looked out for and loved.  She truly shined as a Mawmaw to all of her beloved grandkids.  She loved to shop and hang out with her daughters and her sister. Her and her husband loved to take vacations, go out to dinner, and in their earlier years, went to the dance halls where he would play piano and she would dance the night away.  She touched the hearts of everyone she met. To know her was to love her. She will be truly missed.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg.  A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Carl K. Farmer, Jr.
