Peter Paul Gulak, 86, of Lynchburg, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021. Peter was born in Garnerville, New York on June 29, 1934, a son of the late Andrew J. Gulak and Ilona Simkovic Gulak.
He is survived by his brother, Andrew J. Gulak and his sister, Ilona B. Gulak McKeever; nieces and nephews, Kathy Baker Coleman, Donna Baker, Susan Baker, Andrew Baker and Peter Baker. He was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Gulak Baker.
Peter was a well-respected Science teacher and an avid Miami Dolphins fan. He loved visiting Florida theme parks and was very faithful to his Catholic faith and his Slavic heritage. His family will miss him dearly.
When our father passed away and we were all under the age of 6, Uncle Peter stepped in and helped our mom with all 5 of us. He tried to make every Holiday special for us kids and he always made sure mom had everything she needed to take care of us. When we started having children, he did the same for them. He was a good man, loving brother and a great Uncle to us all.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on February 5th, 2021, at Noon at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers please consider a donation to St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Lynchburg VA.
