Philip Allen Chambers

Philip Allen Chambers, of Rustburg, Virginia passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025 at the age of 71. Philip was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Bell Chambers, and his father, Herbert Nathaniel Chambers.

Born in Petersburg, Virginia, on July 14, 1953, he was a devoted husband to Anita, and a loving brother to Gail Douglas. Phil had two sister-in-laws, Rhonda Lundy, of West Palm Beach, Florida; and Dawn Davis of Germantown, Maryland. Phil adored his nieces, Jessica Douglas, Brianna Ellis, April Powell, and Amber Lundy Gibson, as well as his nephew, Leo Lundy III. Phil also had a host of cousins.

Phil was employed for many years as a Field Extension Agent at the University of the District of Columbia. He was also employed at CACI Engineering in Alexandria, Virginia.

I would like to extend my heartfelt generosity to the Hospice Nurses of Centra Health in Lynchburg who made his last days comfortable. In addition, I would also like to thank Tate Springs Rehab and Nursing Home for their care.
