Phillip Hamilton

Phillip Wayne Hamilton, of Timberlake, passed away on Labor Day, September 2, 2024, at his residence. He was born on October 21, 1939, a son, of the late Charles Wilson Hamilton and Ruth Frazier Hamilton.

Phillip retired from Trailways Bus Company after a lifetime of service. In his free time, he enjoyed going on cruises, traveling to the beach, and fishing. He was a life long member of West Lynchburg Baptist.

In addition to his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by his wife's parents, Stuart and Selma Martin, and his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, of 62 years, Evelyn Martin Hamilton; brother-in-law, Jimmy Martin (Diann); sister-in-law, Martha Robbins (Steve); and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their sincerest thanks to Amanda Davidson for all the help and care she provided Phillip.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg. A graveside service will be conducted by Tom Bryant on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 11A.M., at Fort Hill Cemetery.
