Phyllis Adair Wright

Phyllis Adair Wright, 72 of Lynchburg passed away Friday, March 18, 2011 due to complications following a stroke. She was the loving wife of late Raymond Austin Wright.

Phyllis was born September 17, 1938 in Durham, NC. She was the daughter of the late Hubert and Naomi Paschall. She was retired from the North Carolina Museum of Life and Science, a member of West Lynchburg Baptist Church, and a resident of the Odd Fellows Home. One life changing event was her missions trip to Rome, Italy with West Lynchburg Baptist church. In her brokenness she loved Jesus the very best she could. Now she knows His love fully!

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Jeff Lies of NC, Tina and Paul Oliver of MO, and Cindy and Kip Hughes of Madison Heights; step-children, Ginger and Ed Paris of Coleman Falls;  Dennis Wright of TX; and Tracy and Laura Wright of  FL; grandchildren, Justin and Jeremy Alexander  of  NC, Adam and Callie Hughes, both of Madison Heights; step-grandchildren, Cameron and Colin Paris,  of Coleman Falls, and Karlee Wright of  FL; great grandchildren, Austin and Heather Alexander of  NC and William and Joseph Fisher of MO; sister, Betty Ammons; brother, Norman Paschall; and sister and brother-in-law Teresa and Mel Stolen, all of NC; and a special family friend \"Uncle\" Bruce Scudder.

In addition to her husband and parents, Phyllis was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Henry Honeycutt, two brothers, Bobby and James (Jimmy) Paschall, a sister, Gloria Jean Chamberlain and her life-long friend Barbara Scudder.

A celebration of Phyllis\"™ life will be held at 7pm Wednesday, March 23, at Grace Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Mark Fesmire officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Centra Hospice, 2097 Langhorne Road, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
