Phyllis Arrington

Phyllis Ann Arrington, 73, of Goodview, died Monday, April 4, 2011. Born June 18, 1937 in Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Monk Bowling and Beulah Mullins Bowling.Phyllis was a devoted teacher for Bedford County Public Schools. After teaching for over 25 years, she retired from Staunton River High School.Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Margarett Arrington of Goodview; sisters, Mae Nickles and husband, Doc of Vicco, KY, Dannilee Anderson of Saulk Village, IL, Ancilene Mullins and husband, Otis B. of Amburgey, KY; brothers, Paul Bowling and wife, Mary of Richmond, KY, Ray Bowling of Anderson, IN; sisters-in-law, Rachel Hudson of Big Island, Roberta Helms of Goode; and all her beloved nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the Stewartsville Rescue Squad, 1152 Turner Branch Road, Moneta, VA 24121, or the American Cancer Society, 2316 Atherholt Road, Lynchburg, VA 24501. Visitation will be 5:00\""7:00 PM, Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Tharp Funeral Home with a prayer gathering at 5:00 lead by Rev.
