Phyllis Elder Owen, 89, of Lynchburg, passed on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Virginia Baptist Hospital.
Born Tuesday, March 30, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Elder and the late Flossie Foster Elder. She retired from Craddock-Terry Shoe Corp.
Surviving are sisters, Sterling Tuggle, Joyce Crawley, Mary Elder, Katherine Spradlin, and Betty St. John.
She was predeceased by a brother, Glenwood Elder; sisters, Nancy Clark and Melba Elder.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Va. 23060.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
