Preston Lee Clark , 80, of Lynchburg died peacefully at his residence Tuesday, December 8, 2015. Preston was preceded in death by his parents Aubry and Annie Clark.
Preston was born in Lynchburg on January 29, 1935. He went on to serve 28 years in the military. Preston pursued a passionate career in printing. He also was a devoted member of Beulah Baptist Church where he became a Deacon.
He is survived by his loving wife Maxine of 61 years. They had one son Barry, of Forest, and wife Lisa; two daughters, Sandra Field, of Lynchburg, and husband William , and also Tara Robinson, of Forest, and husband Gary. Preston is also survived by his two sisters Phyllis Williams, of Madison Heights, Barbara Neighbors, of Lynchburg and husband LB; three grandchildren Josh Field, Jared Robinson, and Danelle Clark; one step grandson Michael Jordan; three step great grandchildren Brittany, Kodi, and Caine Jordan.
The family will receive visitors Saturday, December 12, 2015, 12 noon, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. Funeral services will follow at 1 o’clock p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home Chapel, Lynchburg. Interment will be at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post 16.
