Rachel Lee Moore Johnson, 84, of Lynchburg transitioned home, Tuesday, October 13, 2020.
Born April 19, 1936 in Gladys, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow Clark and Helen Moore Reid.
Rachel was a member of Diamond Hill Baptist Church, she was faithful in her bible study, and enjoyed her Zumba exercise class. She worked at Hamilton’s Café, enjoyed neighborhood watch and keeping her neighborhood clean. She also loved word search books, game shows, and music.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by, her husband, William Sidney Johnson, siblings; Joe L. Moore, Ernest Moore, Ollie Moore, and James Moore, and one great great grandson, Kymani Johnson.
She is survived by her daughter, Ronetta Johnson and her husband Delma Morris;one brother, Preston Reid Jr., one granddaughter, Madina Johnson; three great grandsons, Montchello Johnson, Amouré Johnson, and Quentin Foster and a host of other family members and close friends.
A celebration of Rachel’s life will be held Sunday, November 1, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg.
