Ralph D. Spinner

Ralph Douglas Spinner, 69, of Bedford passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020. He was born on August 10, 1950 in Bedford, VA. A son of the late, Ralph J. Spinner and Hester Perkins Spinner. Ralph served his country in the United States Marine Corp during Vietnam. He retired after many years as a foreman with General Shale Brick.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Linda Nelms; her grandchildren who called him pa-pa, Sean, Keenan and special caregiver and light of his life, Kiyan; sister, Barbara Spinner; devoted friend, Lee Calloway and many friends. The family wishes to thank Bedford Dialysis for there hard work and compassion over the last fourteen years. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Tharp Funeral Home in Bedford. The body can be viewed from 1:00pm until 6:00pm prior to the visitation. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00am on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford is assisting the family.
