Ralph Gerald Powers, 83, of Forest passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018
Born in Lynchburg on July 19, 1935, he was a son of the late Marvin and Ora Powers.
Ralph was a Mechanical Engineer who specialized in Aerospace, graduated from Virginia Tech and was devoted to his family and expressed that love in numerous ways.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Sylvia S. Powers; children, Donna Woolf, Mark Powers (Lisa) and Shaun Powers; grandchildren, Sarah, Zachary, and Allison; siblings, Chloe Hunt and Charles Powers (Delores).
Donations may be made in Ralph’s memory to Mt. View United Methodist Church: 1077 Viewpoint Ln, Forest, VA 24551 or the Salvation Army: 2215 Park Ave, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. View United Methodist Church.
