Ramon “Ray Boy” Venckus, born in Linden NJ in 1942, passed away peacefully in his home on 12/30/2022 surrounded by people he loved, knowing he was loved by many more, and knowing that he was going to meet Jesus and be healed.
He was the son of the late Anna Venckus and John Venckus. He is survived by his sister Marcie (Fred) Zbranak, daughter Dana Adams, son Todd Venckus, son Ryan (Lynne) Venckus, daughter Heather (Brandon) Taylor, daughter and caregivers Tara and James Gerlinger, daughter Kimberly (Alistair) Patel, many grandchildren that he loved and adored, and his very best friends Doug and Cindy Philipp.
He was a Jersey boy at heart, but spent the latter part of his life in Lynchburg, VA working as a credit manager at CB Fleet. He was very generous, caring, funny and the life of the party. His happiest moments were spent on the family Jersey Shore Vacations where his priority was that everybody was happy and taken care of.
The family would like to thank the hospice team at Westminster for the love and support they showed him and the family. Papa Ray will be missed by all of his many friends.
To honor his wishes, the family will be holding a private celebration of life with “great food, good libations, lots of laughs, and wonderful camaraderie”.
Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg is assisting the family.
