Rawley Dennis Kelly

Rawley Dennis “Splash†Kelly, 63, of Rustburg, died on Thursday, August 14, 2014. Dennis was born on June 21, 1951 the son of the late Rawley Kelly and the late Geraldine Bullock Kelly.
Dennis is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Kelly and her children, Christopher and Sarah Mills of Gretna and Tammy Fuller and husband, Brady and their children, Collin, Jett and Rascal; a special nephew Timothy Dudley and his wife, Rebecca and their children Maddy, Daniel and Emmy of Spout Spring; an aunt, Helen Bunch and two nieces, Michelle and Tabitha. In addition to his parents, Dennis was predeceased by one sister, Sue Kelly Droog.
Dennis was a devoted father, grandfather and good friend to many. He was a graduate of Rustburg High School, a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, a former employee of Marvin V. Templeton & Sons and more recently a retired truck driver for Thompson Trucking.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg and other times at the residence.
A funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Bethany United Methodist Church with the Rev. Patrick Pillow and the Rev. C. Douglas Pillow officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Tharp Funeral Home and Crematory, Lynchburg (434-237-9424) is assisting the family.
