Raymond Charles Inman, 96, of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Born July 27, 1917 in California; he was the son of the late Claude Sherman Inman and Maybelle Constance Gill Inman.
Raymond was also preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Ruth Averitt Inman and a brother, Cal Inman. Those left to cherish his memory are his children; Donna Sellers of Bedford, Chuck Inman of Bedford, and Phillip Inman of San Jose, CA, grandchildren; Erich Geist and wife, Lori of Vinton, and Shayne Tracy of Eugene, OR, great-grandchildren; Sam and Shanelle, sister-in-law; Marge Inman, brother-in-law; Max Averitt and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Raymond was an artist; he loved photography and enjoyed cooking and playing golf. He also loved to take walks and travel in his motorhome. He served his country during WWII in the US Army Air Corps, serving in the 4th Rec. Sq. as a long range photographer. He was very proud of his military career.
