Raymond Earl Crawley
October 10, 1931 — November 23, 2014
Raymond Early Crawley, 83, died at home Sunday November 23, 2014. He was the loving husband of Joyce Elder Crawley for 57 years.
Raymond was born October 10, 1931 in Lynchburg a son of the late Millard R. Crawley and Alice Doss Crawley. Raymond honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a member of Southview United Methodist Church. He was retired as a lineman or technician with several phone companies.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Susan Fife of Waynesboro, a son Dennis Crawley of Lynchburg, a brother Reid Crawley of Lynchburg, five grandchildren: Samuel Crawley, Megan Crawley, Brant Fife, Jeffrey David Fife, II, and Carson Fife.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Otis Ahart Crawley.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Centra Health Home Care and Centra Hospice Home Care.
