On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, Raymond Frances Taylor went home to be with the Lord.
Raymond Frances was born on December 18, 1942, in Amherst, VA to the late Raymond Alexander Williams and Mary Frances Wade Williams. Raymond Frances was preceded in death by her sisters; Grace Lewis, Betty Walker; brothers Amos Williams and Carl Williams Sr.
Raymond Frances was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church in Roanoke, VA, where she joined the Mass Choir. She was a member of the Mass Choir for a number of years, until she relocated back to Lynchburg, VA.
Being a hair stylist and working in a greenhouse with the many plants and flowers that she enjoyed so much, played a major role in her life.
Raymond Frances leaves to mourn her children, Regina D. Ford of Charlotte, NC, Andre D. Taylor of Roanoke, VA, Terriss S. Taylor (Carla) of Lynchburg, VA and Wayne Smith, Jr. of Roanoke, VA, A sister Helen B. Williams of Amherst, VA and a brother John Williams of Lynchburg, VA; also, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of Life will be held on 2:00 pm Sunday May 30, 2021 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg Chapel. At the family’s request, masks are still required to be worn.
