Raymond Rollie Cress

Raymond Rollie Cress, 79 died May 2, 2013 at the Medical Care Center in Lynchburg, VA. Raymond was born in Hamilton, OH on February 8, 1934. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janet Ash Cress. Raymond and Janet were married April 3, 1954 in Lake Charles, LA. Raymond proudly served in the US Air Force in the Korean Conflict and served most of his time in Lake Charles, LA at Chennault Air Force Base.

In addition to his wife, Raymond is survived by two daughters, Brenda Rae Cress and Helen Felton of Bakersfield, CA, Cheryl Ann Wood & son-in-law Richard Wayne Wood of Lynchburg, VA, two grandchildren Jennifer M. Sippel of Centreville, VA, Aaron K. Sippel of Lynchburg, VA, a sister, Lora Jane Cress of Portsmouth, VA. Also numerous nieces and nephews, and several sisters in laws and brother in laws.

 Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Rollie and Margaret Cress, and three sisters, Genieva, Roberta and Geraldine.

 No memorial or funeral service will be conducted. A private service will be conducted for the family at the Scatter Garden at Old City Cemetery at a later date.

 In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Old City Cemetery in memory of Raymond R. Cress.
