Raymond Roy Harris, 74, of Lynchburg, fell asleep in death on Monday January 15, 2018, at Guggenheimer Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on April 30, 1943, to the late Massie Harris and Virginia Gardner Harris. He was preceded in death by a brother William Andrews and by two sisters, Norma Stewart and Yvonne Nowlin.
Raymond is survived by two sons, Jonathan Harris, and Jarrod Harris; four brothers, Harold D. Harris (Ida), Massie C. Harris, Elroger L. Harris, and Carlton B. Harris (Ann); one sister, Gloria F. Miller (James); and a grandson, Javar Saunders all of Lynchburg. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Maria Andrews of Philadelphia, Pa.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday January 20, 2018, in the Chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
