Rebecca Silby Powell, 71, of Appomattox passed away at home surrounded by family, Tuesday, January 1, 2019.
Born July 1, 1947 to the late Clyde and Virginia Doss.
She is survived by her children, Shannon Hargis (Phillip), James Silby (Kim Huffman), John Silby, and Tamara Brooks who Rebecca considered a daughter; grandchildren, Elizabeth Grant, Deanna Silby, Mackenzie Howlett, Macee Hargis, Austin Silby, and Chase Hargis; siblings, Cathy Doss, and David Doss.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Fort Hill Memorial. The family welcomes friends to visit at Rebecca’s home following the service.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
