Reginald “Reggie” VonEric Reynolds departed this earthy tabernacle on Friday, January 20, 2023. He was born on Saturday, September 25, 1965 to Robert “Bobby” Reynolds and Patricia “Pat” Reynolds.
He was born and raised in Big Island, Virginia. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Sharon Baptist Church in Big Island, Virginia. He received his formal education in the Bedford County Public School system. He was a LOVER of all sports; played basketball and baseball in high school and had the honor to play in the Little League World Series as a member of the Virginia State Championship team. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and received the highest rating in physical training among the platoon. He was an expert marksman and served his family and country with distinction and honor.
Reggie relocated to Richmond, Virginia and was employed at Comcast as a Line Technician. He met his soulmate, Selena Calloway Reynolds, on April 11, 2015. They were joined in holy matrimony on April 11, 2022, and continued their “fairy-tale romance” together in Richmond, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ann Pullen Reynolds.
Reggie’s memories will be cherished by his devoted wife, Selena Reynolds; father, Robert “Bobby” Reynolds and bonus mom Judy Coles Reynolds of Big Island, Virginia; stepbrother, Butch (Ginger) Coles of Bedford, Virginia and half-brother, Rodney (Stacey) Wilson of Big Island, Virginia; brothers-in-law, Robert (Barbara) Calloway of Williamsburg, Virginia; James (Vanessa) Calloway of Madison Heights, Virginia; Tony (Deborah) Calloway of Roanoke, Virginia; and Steve (Sylvia) Calloway of Atlanta, Georgia; stepsister, Kimberly Scott of Lynchburg, Virginia; sisters-in-law, Alfreda White of Coleman Falls, Virginia; Janice Christian (Russell) of Lynchburg, Virginia; Marilyn Robertson of Ruther Glen, Virginia; and Bernadine (Maurice) Hayes of Fredericksburg, Virginia; daughters, Makayla and Makiya Hislop, both of Richmond, Virginia; goddaughters, Nichole Collins of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Emma Reynolds of Richmond, Virginia; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Reggie enjoyed life and had a smile that could melt your heart. He never met a stranger. In the midst of all the chatter at family gatherings, his “jovial” laughter was easily identified. He is already greatly missed by family, friends, and everyone who has ever crossed his path.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 12:00 pm at The Ramp Church International in Lynchburg, Virginia. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting at 11 am. Military honors will be provided by Fort Lee Active-Duty Personnel.
